I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually happening.
