19 of the Russian's 21 championships have been won on hard surfaces
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his first title for nearly 30 months with success over opponent Moutet in the competition title decider.
Medvedev, a former number one, has endured a difficult period, managing just a single victory at the big events and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
The player's varied form on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serving in specific - caused him falling of the top ten and ultimately separating with long-time coach Gilles Cervara.
Presently training with his coach and Goetzke, he has steadily improved in the last few weeks - culminating in a closely contested competitive victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks his first title since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard court from March of 2023.
The win also indicates the Russian has secured 21 championships at 21 distinct tournaments.
"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my children at once, so to secure a title is particularly special," stated world number 14 the champion.
"This title is in dedication of my child Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament in the past months.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and frequent reactions on the playing surface had prompted commentators to doubt if his skill to compete at the top level was finished.
However the player has made changes in the past month, striving to approach the net and perform aggressively, reinforced by an better service.
He recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, taking 4 of the final five points to take the lead.
The competitors swapped breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to push for a final set.
The opponent defended four early-game chances in a competitive deciding set before the champion secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, Medvedev clinched victory with a shot at the net, with his opponent unable to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
